The two surfaces bill the same underlying momentra-events work through different accounting, kept aligned at a fixed rate so their free tiers are comparable. Conversion: 1 ZC = 10 M (credits). orgs_index is at exact 40-credit parity; events_pull meters in whole ZC units, which is 10× the MCP per-id cost — an intentional whole-unit-metering divergence. These constants live in functions/zeroclick/pricing.ts.

MCP credit model

MCP billing

Full detail: signup grant, the per-UTC-day free cap (80/account, 400 across all free accounts), checkout, and the success-shaped billing directives.
  • Free on signup: 100 credits, once per account on first connect (tied to a real Stripe checkout).
  • index_org: 40 credits fresh; 10-credit refresh within 30 days of a successful, non-empty index. Non-starters and failures aren’t charged.
  • fetch: 1 credit per id (idempotent per id per day).
  • Everything else is free.

ZeroClick unit model

ZeroClick free & paid

Full detail: the two kinds of free work and how includedUnits back the free trial.
  • Free identity routes: search/*, orgs/{jobId}, report — identity check only, no settlement.
  • Paid meters: orgs_index, events_pull — allowance-checked and settled via a zc-usage header on the 2xx.
  • Free trial: ZeroClick-owned includedUnits per buyer, ~10 ZC lifetime — mirrors the MCP 100-credit signup grant.
On both surfaces, a paid call with no balance returns a directive carrying a checkout link rather than doing the work — the agent pays and retries. Nothing is charged on a non-2xx.
